The IAOM trained nearly all course instructors offering courses across the world today.

Our COM® (Certified Orofacial Myologist) is a network of highly trained professionals, clinical educators, and international researchers. COM's® undergo education , written and clinical skills assessment before being awarded these credentials. Upon achieving the COM® in order to maintain their active credential they are required to meet continuing education requirements. In this way, practitioners remain updated on the active changes within the field while allowing the IAOM to maintain its status as an "accrediting" organization.
All members of the IAOM are currently licensed professionals with prior education, background and training in understanding the complexity anatomy and physiology of the orofacial complex and how its system functions. They include speech-language pathologists, registered dental hygienists, dentists, physicians who actively collaborate with other medical/dental practitioners for the optimal care of their patients.
With the proliferation of other allied professionals jumping into treatment for this disorder, we recommend informed professionals and the general public seek out COM® for skilled care.
